Presentations

I delivered a PowerPoint presentation about office 365 in partnership with the SVO, to an audience of over 50 teachers for San Jose Unified School District.

An effective presentation is a combination of many communication aptitudes. Verbal, nonverbal, and visual communication come together to create a presentation. Below are several examples of me delivering web-based presentations. In addition to these types of presentations, I am comfortable in public speaking scenarios and have given presentations to groups of 10s to 100s.

Coffee Shop Design Proposal

After I completed my website mockup for the coffee shop, I summarized my improvements in a five-minute proposal. I needed to plan my message carefully and speak quickly while maintaining an easy to listen to flow. I also included my ideas for improving social media communications and developing a style guide. I used powerpoint to record my slide narrations and export them to a video format.

Process Rollout Presentation

In this exercise, I was to play the role of a fictional program manager, Sam Colton, who needed to communicate the training rollout plan to a group of warehouse employees over the coming months. I needed to create a calendar for the training and come up with an idea for a new process to train the employees on. I had three minutes to deliver the presentation, so it was an exercise in being concise and setting expectations without going into too much detail.

Technology Entrepreneur Profile

I find inspiration in the success of others. Many wildly successful people don't get much public admiration. When tasked with delivering a presentation on a successful member of the technology industry, I was excited to find a lesser-known CEO to profile. Although I use an excessive amount of filler words at times, I learned a lot from researching Susan Wojcicki and am excited to share this presentation.
