Heritage Pork Ecommerce Site

This project involved me cold calling prospective clients that needed some copywriting and copyediting done on their website. I worked on rewriting and refining the design of the pork section on the Henson Heritage Farms website. The client shared some analytics data with me about the intended audience and the mission statement of their business. I used this data to write copy and refine the design of the site. I had to research pork farming practices to fully understand the industry and translate practices into accurate content for a general audience. I then created a site mockup to enhance the visuals of the site and display my copyedits.

The original document had problems with grammar and consistency of the voice. Many of the images that the site shows are a low resolution and displayed in non-uniform ways.

The resultant mockup includes context for some of the terms used on the product pages on informational pages and some clarification of terms like "uncured". For this project I used Microsoft Word to write and edit copy and Adobe XD and Photoshop to build the mockup and manipulate the images. I had extensive contact with the client throughout the duration of this project.
