Cake Blog
This website redesign was the result of a UX study completed in a group. I used Adobe Illustrator to create new assets and Adobe XD to make the mockups. This piece showcases my ability to stay "on brand" with a client despite my best design instincts. I was able to display my understanding that frequently, a writer must try to assume the client's persona and communicate as they would.

The aesthetics of this site are intentionally a "wreck," which reflects the subject matter of the blog. Initially, the website was lacking form as well as function, so I took on the challenge of improving usability. I was able to maintain the humor and charm of the design while delivering a much more functional interface. I also adapted this new interface for mobile, moving and enlarging some of the elements because the original page did not adjust for a mobile audience.
